“Many Stories… One Singapore” - a call for celebrations, remembrance and sharing stories that make Singaporeans who we are and how we identify ourselves as a nation. Yes, it's time to celebrate our nation's 48th birthday - Singapore's National Day on 9th August 2013. National Day Parade (NDP) weekly rehearsals, activities around the NDP 2013 theme: “Many Stories… One Singapore”, “Sing A Nation” choir by Singaporeans from all walks of life, NDPeeps facebook page, NDP 2013 Mobile App, NDP logo symbolising love, passion and Singapore as a nation, fireworks at Marina Bay and and many other celebrations across the island to show patriotism to a one united nation.
State Flag Flypast, Aerial Flypast, Red Lions Freefall display, Sea Display, Fireworks and a lot more you can catch even if you are not in front of the floating platform at Marina Bay. Well, the first two you could see from most parts near the Singapore River but for the latter ones, we would suggest to park with kids at Marina Bay and particularly around the waterfront promenade or Marina Bay Sands board walk around the ART SCIENCE Museum outside The Shoppes at the Marina Bay (View map: http://www.marinabaysands.com/Singapore-Museum/Plan-Your-Visit/). You could easily walk around in the waterfront area next to the ArtScience museum and see some of the NDP activities, fireworks and could even have a good and FREE view of the floating platform while enjoying the food offered by nearby restaurants. Timing wise, 6:00pm - 8:15pm will be good!NDP 2013 Funpack | Parade & Ceremony | Dynamic Defence Display | Sing A Nation
