An interactive chalk art adventure where little ones can think big 

3 to 11 November 2012 

For ages 4 to 12

‘WALLS AND FLOORS: VISIBLE ART by Urban Canvas, U.K’ is a unique indoor workshop-based activity to be held from 3 to 11 November 2012 that revolves around the humble chalk and how it can transform a space into incredible works of bigger-than-life art! 

Through this event, the presenters – ACT 3 International – hope to engage children in innovative workshops that highlight the fascinating genre of  anamorphic art – 3D renderings which only become visible from one particular angle or viewpoint. In addition, there will be opportunities for children to try their hands at 2D chalk art as well.  

Walls and floors of ION Art Gallery will be transformed into blank canvases for little hands to have fun working together on drawings that will come alive. Children will be inspired by the rare opportunity to create massive works of art such as a 2D dragon that will run end-to-end on the wall, and most strikingly, a 3D drawing of skyscrapers so real that one might feel dwarfed by them!
