What do Pig and Elephant have in common? Besides being the best of friends, they also have
two birds to deal with. Specifically those that sit on Elephant’s head and refuse to move!
Based on There Is A Bird On Your Head, this workshop aims to bring out the child’s
expressiveness and articulation as he or she explores the wonders of facial expression, body
language and voice.
Older children will emerge quite the opposite after they have learnt the skills of freeing the
voice, thinking on their feet and playing with the imagination to connect idea to voice. They will
reap the benefits of how drama can empower them and build courage. This workshop is also
inspired by Willems’ underpinning message on spontaneity in speaking up.
