It’s Play-Doh Month this September!

Bonding with your kids over fun and games has never been easier this September! Indulge in some quality family time by having a multi-sensorial experience with Play-Doh! Explore the creativity within your child’s mind and embark on a fun-filled adventure of imagination, while enhancing the child’s cognitive skills.

In celebration of Play-Doh month this September, Hasbro Singapore has prepared a fun contest and workshops for you and your loved ones to enjoy during this September School Holidays!

Play-Doh Fun Creations Contest
To encourage learning through creative fun with Play-Doh, Hasbro Singapore will launch the Play-Doh Fun Creations Contest from 1 September to 30 September. To participate,
  1. Simply snap a picture of your children’s Play-Doh creations and upload it onto Facebook
  2. Like the Hasbro Singapore Facebook Page and tag Hasbro Singapore in your photo entry on Facebook
  3. The 3 most creative entries will win a year’s supply of Play-Doh products worth $500* each!

Play-Doh Workshop and Demonstration

There will be workshops held at Toys’R’Us Vivo City and Tampines Mall from 4 – 13 September, from 12 – 9pm. Get hands on and join the workshop with any purchase of Play-Doh products and you get to take home your very own Play-Doh creations. Upon completion of your creation, you will also get to receive a “Certificate of Creativity”, a 1oz Play-Doh can and a letter mould.

There will be also be in-store demonstrations at Takashimaya, Ngee Ann City from now till 9 September, from 12 – 9pm.

Meet Doh-Doh

Get your camera ready for that picture perfect moment where you’ll get to meet the Play-Doh mascot, Doh-Doh! Happening on 5 September, Doh-Doh will be at Toys’R’Us Vivo City from 2pm – 4pm and Takashimaya, Level 4 from 6 – 8pm. There will also be another session at Takashimaya, Level 4 on 6 September, from 3 – 5pm. Come down and join in the fun with us!

Ready, get set, play!

Open up creative possibilities for your little ones to build their own imaginary worlds and create a play area for your children by using the Play-Doh Playmat. You can easily set up and get the Play-Doh party started with the Play-Doh Playmat!

Mid-Autumn Festival 2015
Lantern Painting Competition


In celebration of the year of the goat, and in commemoration of the Mid-Autumn season, lanterns shaped like goats wait to be decorated in Gardens by the Bay’s Lantern Painting Competition. The competition, which is sponsored by Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple, is part of Mid-Autumn Festival @ Gardens by the Bay 2015.
The public can sign up in teams with a minimum of four people and a maximum of eight people. Each team will decorate one goat-shaped lantern, measuring 1m by 1m, according to the preferred theme – SG50 or Mid-Autumn.

Participants can choose from two time slots, 9am to 12pm, or 2pm to 5pm, to be present at Gardens by the Bay on either September 19 or September 20 to decorate their lanterns. Paint materials will be provided by Gardens by the Bay.

The best decorated lantern stands to win a cash prize of $2,000, while the second and third prize winners will win $1,000 and $500 respectively. There are also five consolation prizes worth $100 each.

Sentosa Cable Car Promotion

This workshop is based on the laugh-out-loud story – Don't Let The Pigeon Stay Up Late – where parents and their children are encouraged to dramatise the mischievous pigeon and the children who try to get him to bed!

Bird At The Wheel
For 3 and 4 year olds
3-session workshop, 2 hours each session, drop-off

8 to 10 September 2015 (Tuesday to Thursday) 10am to 12pm 3pm to 5pm

It is hilarity abound at this workshop where a very exasperated bus driver is trying to stop a very naughty pigeon from getting on the bus and driving off. This three-day workshop is based on Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive The Bus and will offer children their first taste of drama while picking up the key skills to develop vocal confidence. 

Bird On My Head
For 5 and 6 year olds

What do Pig and Elephant have in common? Besides being the best of friends, they also have two birds to deal with. Specifically those that sit on Elephant’s head and refuse to move! Based on There Is A Bird On Your Head, this workshop aims to bring out the child’s expressiveness and articulation as he or she explores the wonders of facial expression, body language and voice.

Tongue Tied
For ages 7 to 9
2-session workshop, 2 hours each session, drop-off

Older children will emerge quite the opposite after they have learnt the skills of freeing the voice, thinking on their feet and playing with the imagination to connect idea to voice. They will reap the benefits of how drama can empower them and build courage. This workshop is also inspired by Willems’ underpinning message on spontaneity in speaking up.

Get Creative! Create Koalas or a Race Car During this September School Holidays!

Kids will love it!  Cut the clay, mould the clay and sculpt the clay during session 1 and come back to adorn the pottery with colors dyring session 2!  Tell your friends about it!.

Dine Out For Teen Bonding week
7 - 13 September 2015

Reservations.SG will be organizing a Dine Out For Teen Bonding week, where teen-parent gets to dine at selected restaurants offering discounted set meals during the Sept School Holidays (7 - 13 Sept). 

The goal of this is to have 1 teen and 1 parent dine together, to have a great bonding time over dinner, and get conversations going. 

Participating restaurants include UNA at One Rochester, Skyve Wine Bistro, Caffe B at MBS, Restaurant SELA and Pizzeria L'Operetta. Wave House Sentosa is also offering a 1-for-1 flowboarding, on top of the discounted set meal. Pontini, at Grand Corpthorne Waterfront, is also organizing a pizza-making session just before dinner, and the pizza will be served as part of the discounted set menu.
